Description

A well-established, independent school in West London, known for its nurturing ethos, high academic standards, and inclusive approach to education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception/Nursery with special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s early learning journey within a caring and well-resourced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with identified SEN needs, helping them access learning and daily routines.

* Implement strategies outlined in the child’s EHCP and work closely with the class teacher

* Use communication tools such as PECS and Makaton to support language development and understanding.

* Foster a calm, inclusive, and structured environment that promotes emotional regulation and engagement.

* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to support

About You:

* Proven experience working with children in EYFS settings, particularly those with SEN.

* Strong knowledge and practical use of PECS, Makaton, and other communication or behaviour support strategies.

* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* A genuine passion for inclusive education and early childhood development.
