1:1 Mainstream SEN Support Assistant – Runcorn

ODIN Childcare Recruitment | £90–£95 per day | Full-time | September Start

We're working with a fantastic, inclusive secondary school in Runcorn that's on the lookout for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stages 3 & 4.

You’ll be supporting one student at a time—either in the classroom or in a separate space—helping them access the curriculum, regulate behaviour, and build confidence. It’s challenging work, but the kind that genuinely changes lives.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis

*

Helping them engage with GCSE-level lessons

*

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

*

Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams

*

Creating a safe, consistent space where students can thrive

What we’re looking for:

*

At least 2 years' experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

*

Strong communication, calm under pressure, and emotionally intelligent

*

Confident building trust and rapport with pupils

*

Committed to safeguarding and inclusion

The details:

Full-time, term-time only

*

Monday to Friday (no weekends)

*

£90–£95 per day (depending on experience)

*

Free on-site parking

*
