Description
Sadly I've decided to sell my 1986 Toyota MR2 Mk1 (T-Bar) with black leather interior.
I bought this for £6,250 a few years ago after it had a full bare metal restoration and respray. I then took it to my friendly mechanic in Bathgate to get it tuned and finished off.
Unfortunately he didn't have much time to work on it, and so it has sat for a few years.
It has had much work done including 4 new Toyo Proxy tyres and a stainless steel exhaust, but could benefit from a little TLC to bring it up to show standard. I've probably spent about £4k on the car (so about 10k total), but realise I won't get that for it.
It can be viewed by appointment in Bathgate (Jn 4 of the M8) near Edinburgh. Will be sold with a new MOT.
Comes with a comprehensive service history folder and photographic history (over 100 photos) of the restoration.
The V5C shows that it was once an insurance write off, but this was way back when a minor mark was enough to make a car uneconomical to repair. This was before the car was restored, and the photos do not show any sign of damage. Mileage shows as about 99,000 miles (I believe it had a replacement speedo at some point).
