Description
1977 Suzuki GT750B Very Late Production Example Genuine GT750 Triple
A fantastic opportunity to own one of Suzuki’s most iconic two-stroke motorcycles, the legendary Suzuki GT750.
This is a very late production GT750B, with frame number GT750-80226, putting it right towards the end of the GT750 production run. It is an exceptionally interesting example for anyone who appreciates these big Japanese two-stroke triples.
The GT750 needs little introduction. Known affectionately as the “Water Kettle”, it was Suzuki’s flagship two-stroke triple and one of the defining Japanese motorcycles of the 1970s.
The frame number places the chassis firmly within the 1977 GT750B production range and very close to the end of production.
The engine is a genuine GT750 unit from the earlier production sequence, making this a particularly interesting example with its own history. The engine/frame numbers are therefore not matching numbers, and this is being openly stated for the next owner’s peace of mind.
The bike
The motorcycle presents extremely well and has the unmistakable appearance of the later GT750B, including:
Beautiful blue tank with gold pinstriping
Black side panels
Classic Suzuki GT750 styling
Iconic three-cylinder, two-stroke, water-cooled engine
Period correct GT750 appearance throughout
Excellent visual presence
The combination of the late B-model chassis and earlier GT750 engine makes this a bike that will certainly attract attention at shows, rallies and amongst serious Suzuki enthusiasts.
This isn’t simply another old Japanese motorcycle, the GT750 has become a highly sought-after collector’s machine, and the very late B-models are particularly desirable.
Why this one?
If you’re looking for a GT750 to add to a collection, take to shows or simply enjoy owning one of the great Japanese two-strokes, this deserves a serious look.
The late frame number is a particularly interesting feature, being GT750-80226, close to the end of the known GT750B production sequence.
The bike is being sold with the frame and engine numbers clearly documented.
A superb opportunity to own an iconic Suzuki GT750B, combining fantastic 1970s Japanese styling with the sound and character of Suzuki’s legendary water-cooled two-stroke triple.
A proper piece of Japanese two-stroke history.
Viewing is highly recommended.
Serious enquiries welcome.
