Brand-New Hikvision Temperature-Screening Face-Recognition Terminal, Plug & Play w/ Stand—Was £4,365

Description

This is a brand-new and unused ready-assembled biometric Hikvision DS-K5604A-3XF/V plug & play temperature-screening dual-lens camera face-recognition terminal with integrated stand. This particular model is widely used in enterprises, schools, factories, hospitals, campuses and similar.

The company I work for bought three of these, two for the two main entrance areas to our offices and one for a fire emergency exit, before we were advised that installing such a unit in a narrow fire escape area was against fire regulations.

As we had already disposed of the packaging we weren’t able to return the third terminal for a refund—hence the sale.

We originally bought the terminals from PMC Telecom, the thermal imaging camera and night vision scope experts, for £4,365 incl VAT each (go to their pmctelecom co uk website and search for K5604A), ie the price of £2,180 represents a 50% discount.

The terminal is mostly used for access control through authentication, or staff/employee/event attendance monitoring, or a combination of both.

The terminal can be used in stand-alone or integrated mode.

Its basic functionality is:

- its highly sophisticated temperature sensor’s ability to sense when a single person is - or multiple persons are - entering an entrance or exit area
- sounding an alarm and/or sending an alert if the person(s) upon entering the area either do(es) not present him/her/themselves to the terminal’s face-recognition camera, or do(es) not pass the face-recognition check
- saving the comparison results and captured pictures internally and/or transmit them to external client software:
- - the terminal has an internal 50,000 face storage capacity and 100,000 event storage capacity
- - the external face and event capacity is limited only by the storage capacity of the receiving device

Optionally, the terminal can be connected to a wider access control system, due to its ability to communicate with and thereby control third-party equipment (such as turnstiles) via IO in/output, using Wiegand or other communication protocols.

Other functionality includes:
- the sensor’s ability to accurately identify the number of people entering the entrance area as a group
- the temperature-sensor’s ability to screen people for fever, contact-free
- face mask wearing alert (with the option to deny persons not wearing a face mask access to the premises)
- a large number of optional voice prompts
- plug & play (for rapid deployment, ie no need for wiring, installation or configuration).
