Be aware of potential scammer. First of all, Alfred is a director of another Ltd - MEGALIGHT TECHNOLOGIES LTD – you can check it at GOV.UK website. So, by phone I explained I want to remove non load bearing wall and just to get the right paper work from approved body. Alfred came more than 1h late than agreed (after 2h slot). He did not scan existing ceiling/structure, was not interested in finding any other solution, than to offer a standard 200x100mm ‘I’ steel profile – which is much over estimated, he declined other solutions – calling them not strong enough. Next day after visit I have asked to send an invoice for a site visit. Alfred uplifted pre-agreed site/home visit price – quoting ‘we did some draft work last night’ – I disputed. Also Alfred has send me his personal bank account – NOT BUSINESS. Was waiting for an invoice for 2-3 weeks – no invoice, no business bank account – just ‘settle the amount and close the chapter’! I have settled the amount few days ago to his personal bank account. P.S. I am freelance civil engineer with 20 years construction experience and just need the paper from approved body!
