Quad 12L speakers in piano gloss maple.

Bought new by me and used sparingly in a second system. I was a classical pianist, used to hi-end hi-fi from my student days. These were never over driven.
The sound is excellent, as you would expect from the makers of the best speakers in the world.
We have down-sized significantly so I'm gradually working through the mountains of stuff we have stored.

The speakers are in excellent condition - carefully packed in the original packing when we moved and stored carefully in a bedroom.

We are also advertising a matching Quad L centre which would work well with these if you wanted an AV system - and a Yamaha receiver.

We are in Bishopstone - near Salsibury.

"The finish, the engineering and the design are firstrate and matches or betters many speakers 2 or 3 times the price.
It has a sturdy grille with good quality textile cover that positively locks into the small fixtures. The driver is made of black kevlar. The tweeter is a very supple design inlayed in a small hornlike fixture.
The Quad Logo is almost jewellery like in its execution.
The back has two bassreflex openings.
The goldplated cable posts are setup for bi-wiring. They connect with goldplated bolts if bi-wiring is not used. None of the oversized and garrish stamped steel stuff here!
Soundwise they feel very, very competent. They never feel stressed. Great recordings sound great.
Positioning of the speakers was easy.
Highs are subtle. Mids are beautifully rendered. Bass is to my liking, not boomy. Soundstaging is real and not overblown, they feel very much like ESL-type speakers. Spacial envelope is highly developed with good recordings, detail galore.
Resolution makes it an audiophile gem and mine will stay!"
