Description
Turntable ( £400)
Rare version Thorens TD145 MkII with aluminium plinth and steel faceplate. Used condition, fully working, with dual speed, manual arm-lift and automatic end-of-disk arm lift.Original Thorens TP16 MkII iso-track light-weight tone arm/headshell fitted with Audio Technica VM95E moving magnet cartridge.Two piece metal platter with DUMPA mat.
The turntable has been upgraded (see photos) with,
1) More solid MDF base-board with bigger rubber feet replacing the original flimsy cardboard baseboard with tiny rubber feet. New base-board drilled with extra holes for suspension adjustment from below “without” having to take it out.
2) Original springs cleaned out ( talc powdered ) and reset
3) Tonearm headshell / cartridge pins replaced with new gold plated ones. Head-shell wires to pins re-soldered then protected with heat shrunk sleeves.
4) RCA phono pins replaced with new gold plated ones.
5) New bespoke stylish Perspex dust cover.
6) DUMPA mat on platter for better resonance control when playing LP’s
Nb: original dust cover, base-board (feet), platter mat with 45 rpm insert available for collection.
Musical Fidelity “ Synthesis “ Stereo integrated amplifier (£ 200)
One owner since 1985. The amplifier was the best integrated amplifier at the time ( costed £800 ) incorporating a CD and Moving coil input. It has since been modified around 15 years ago with the transformer now external to the main unit (see photo). I requested this when the transformer was replaced to distance it from the main unit for less electromagnetic interference. Some scratches on top but the unit still sounds great after all these years.
Teac LS-300U Bookshelf Reference Series Speakers ( £60 )
Absolutely Fantastic condition. Not much used as was bought as spares for surround sound system. Stored in bedroom for around 8 years. Fully inspected and they are in great working and cosmetic condition.
Pair of solid general adjustable metal speaker stands ( £20 )

QED 79 strand speaker cables ( £20)
Good quality 79 strand copper cables for optimum sound in 9.39m and 9.55m lengths.
