Description
The Queen of the Suburbs Ultra is the proud creation of We Run Ealing and it all started as a lockdown dream.
Back in 2020 and 2021, with in-person events off the table, we set the Queen of the Suburbs Challenge: visiting every one of Ealing's parks and green spaces virtually. Some runners went further, literally, linking parks together in epic adventures that covered ultra distances.
From that spark, the idea of an ultramarathon contained entirely within the Borough of Ealing was born.
The first race took place on Saturday 23 March 2024, and the adventure returned on Saturday 22 March 2025 - with even more runners ready to take on West London's ultimate test.
Whether you choose the Ultra 50k or the Trail 25k, you'll run or walk through a stunning mix of parks, greenways, canal paths, and hidden trails, with surprises waiting around every bend.
Ealing has long been known as the Queen of the Suburbs - just a short hop from Central London, yet full of open spaces, leafy streets, and that countryside feel.
Our route showcases the borough at its very best, from tranquil riverside stretches to the climb up Horsenden Hill, where you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of Wembley Stadium and beyond.
This is not just a run - it's a chance to discover hidden corners of West London you never knew existed.
