Genuine sale. Not here for keyboard warrior critique! Now the good stuff…..
Hi celestion fans. Yes, sets of these come up for sale every now and then-usually battered, and in need of lots of work. These are very special and unique-cabinets professionally re veneered in stunning brazillian rosewood. The photos do not do them justice at all, they are so pretty. The veneer is very high quality, and textured. Its just gorgeous. The crossovers and lpads have been recapped with brand new mox resistors and capacitors to oe spec(works completed by haycross audio). New neoprene seals, the drivers are in great condition-Tweeters are upgrades-the original hf2001 were totally shot and after much research i found a unit which not only matches in the specs but exceeds them-the vifa tymphany peerless(from flacon acoustics). The results speak for themselves-flawless sound, excellent separation and the bass is to die for. Having owned the 66/662/44/25 etc these are the pinnacle of the ditton range in my opinion. They just sound so natural, and produce a full spectrum of sound even at low volumes. They are superior to the 66 in terms of mid range and tops, and the bass is just awesome considering they are half the size! All in ive spent around £1200:
Speakers purchase:£350
New veneers:£400
Crossover upgrades:£350
Vifa tweeters:£90
New grille cloth:£20
Neoprene seals:£10
Gold plated binding posts:£10
I do this for love. Ive restored countless sets of speakers. My buyers can vouch for just how good they are-happy to provide references. I dont do this to make profit. The cost doesnt include the hours spent by me making these the best they can possibly be. Find another set that look and sound this good-you wont! Collection only from suffolk cavendish village. Ready to audition. May consider offers, not in any rush to sell so low ballers please note!
