Description
On offer today at a seriously low bargain price – compare prices with those on a well known auction site - is a pair of KEF Celeste Mk II bookshelf loudspeakers from around 1962. One includes the original Design Centre award sticker.
These work well and I can demonstrate them on a nice system. They have not been modified/updated and might benefit from that. I will include shortish speaker cables fitted with gold plated banana plugs so they are ready to go. They look slightly different colours – one is a bit darker than the other and the backs have different coatings, although the serial numbers, see photos, are close. When being used with the speakers facing the front, as they should, it is hard to notice the different finishes. They could be rewaxed to look identical if you wish. One of the KEF metal badges has a chunk missing. I might have it somewhere but assume the broken bit is not included. One of the cloth fronts has a small hole in it which could easily be darned! In nice condition for something that is over 60 years old and still sounding great. Come and hear them!
I am asking for just £75, collected from Hove/Western Road/Brunswick area. I cannot deliver.
Specifications taken from the web.
15 W (undistorted) up to 30W - they use that 15W well and can still fill your living room. 15/30W may be more than you think, depending on how you think.
