UPDATE: Price dropped to £60
Dating back to 2001, these excellent studio monitors are finally no longer needed in my setup, and I hope to get them to a good home.
They have some superficial bumps and scrapes and one has a white paint mark on it -- I've shown the worst damaged parts in the images. But it's all cosmetic -- they sound absolutely fantastic and work as good as new.
Some tech specs from Alesis' website:
Enclosure Type: Superport vented
Powered/Unpowered: Unpowered
Frequency Response (Hz-kHz): 45 Hz-18 kHz
Sensitivity (dB): 88 dB
Crossover Frequency (kHz): 2.5 kHz
Woofer Size/Type: 6.5" polypropylene cone
Tweeter Size/Type: 1" silk dome
Magnetic Shielding: Yes
Cabinet Dimensions (H x W x D in inches): 15 x 8.5 x 10
Weight (lbs.): 15
These are studio monitors, not HiFi speakers, so they have a very flat frequency response which makes them ideal for prducers and mix engineers. Hear how your mix sounds as it should be heard before it's ruined by the streamers and someone's rubbish tiny bluetooth speaker :)
If you're just getting going and want some great cheap superstar monitors for your studio, you could do much worse than these. I'm putting them up for £90 to reflect the slight case damage they have -- you'll see them for dearer on Ebay etc so I think this is a fair and decent price.
