Spanish Lessons

Description

Hi there! I'm Eddie. I am offering one-on-one French and Spanish tutoring sessions to GCSE, A-Level and adult students.

I have a passion for languages, above all French and Spanish, and enjoy helping learners to deepen their understanding and express themselves with confidence. I studied History and French at the University of Liverpool, where I also took Spanish classes, and I have spent time living in France and Mexico to reach an advanced level in both languages.

I have taught classes to A-level and GCSE students (and equivalent level students in Ireland), and throughout my time at school, university and beyond I have helped explain concepts in French and Spanish and tutored informally to peers and family. As such, I am very familiar with the particular quirks and challenging aspects of these languages that tend to trip people up.

As a tutor I keep up to date with the GCSE and A-level French and Spanish curricula and requirements for foundation vs higher GCSE learners. For adult learners, depending on your level we can start with the basics or look at particular topics or grammar that interest you if you prefer. I aim to make lessons as immersive as possible and use them as a great opportunity for learners to practise their conversational Spanish/French. I know the importance of taking a flexible approach to each student; concepts in any language can be hard to understand at first, but with the right explanation there is always a way to make hard concepts more straightforward.

For school students: I offer support with schoolwork (including pronunciation, grammar, vocab and more), as well as exam prep, in a patient and supportive environment. We can spend as much time as necessary on areas of difficulty until students are feeling confident in their understanding and well-prepared for their exams.

Please note that my preference is for online classes. However, if this is not possible I am also able to give classes in person depending on distance.

I have a clear DBS check.

Lessons last 50 minutes. The fee is £20 for GCSE and A-Level, and £25 for adults. I am also happy to do shorter or longer lessons.

If you are interested (or know someone who might be interested), or have any questions at all, please do send me a message for more details :)
