Another epic drive back in a car we knew nothing about.
167 miles back , just over 3 hours, is a proper test drove in a car, more than your likely to do on your test drive..
Onto a bit of dual carriage way before dropping straight onto the A1 for 77 miles.Temp gauge getting to 90 in quick time, before sitting there, without moving for the next 3 hours, brilliant.
Even when directed off the A1, taking a magic mystery tour around York and Selby, stop start traffic, a roads, b roads, buses stopping , dual carriage way etc, the car performed amazingly well..

- ENGINE:
The car is powered by the brilliant VW 1.4 idi engine, 80 wild horses power this car, with its little 3 cylinder "" angry sewing machine"" like engine,and most seem to be still there.
Acceleration is ok, not going to win any races, but then 70mpg is a good trade off.
The 5 speed gearbox is usual vw precise, and changes well, with NO funny noises.
Railway line checked suspension also feels good , with NO knocking or banging.
This car has been loved by ts only owner ...

- EXTERIOR:
So the car is an Insurance CATEGORY N - NON structural, last year.
Im an ex car painter of nearly 20 years , and to be honest the paintwork all looks original !
The only damage I can find is the dent to there rear passenger door, low down, which in itself if an insurance claim for a new door, and paint is probably enough to write this car off on age!
Apart from that, the car looks amazing.Yes champagne metallic is not everyones cup of tea, but it has been loved and cherished ..

Full cloth in wheat colour, is also in amazing condition,
A quick wet van will remove any marks later tomorrow after the rain,
Another 10 mis with the hoover, is also all thats required.

Having spent 18 years in the motor trade, owning our own business as a car painter and refinisher, time and mainly my back and knees caught up with me !

So now we source and sell cars direct from the trade we used to work with.

All cars are driven a minimum of 40 miles, so we can assess the creeks and groans.

Most cars ( unless listed as spares or repairs) are sold with a minimum of 6 months MOT, but preferably with a fresh 12 months MOT for peace of mind.

Where possible we source full service history cars.

Our stock changes daily, mainly due to the lower margins we charge to create a higher volume.

I do love the Vw group cars,( VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda ) so you will see a lot of those, plus the smaller engine , cheap to tax and insure cars.
