Senior Military Air Certification Consultant

Location: UK–wide (Flexible)

Security Clearance:

Role requires UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it (minimum 5 years UK residency).

Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Military Air Certification Consultant to lead certification management activities across military aviation projects. Working within the Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T) division, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance on airworthiness, technical compliance, and safety across a variety of complex defence programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead certification strategies and deliverables for air system programmesAssess compliance with Military Air System Certification Process (MACP) including AMCs, MCRIs, TCBs, and TCEsApply regulatory frameworks such as ASPIRE, AETP–08, MAA MRP, Def Stan 00–970, CS, and FARsProduce and assure certification artefacts and airworthiness documentationProvide strategic advice and direction on safety, hazard management, and air system complianceSupport business development, market growth and capability expansion across the defence sectorEssential Experience:

Proven expertise in military aviation certification and airworthinessIn–depth understanding of MACP, ASPIRE, AETP–08, and MAA MRPExperience assessing AMCs and managing certification artefactsFamiliarity with safety and hazard management principles within military aviationExcellent client–facing, written, and verbal communication skillsDesirable:

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)Experience developing Certification Management Plans or Airworthiness StrategiesWorking knowledge of Def Stan 00–056 and broader industry/defence standardsInvolvement in professional bodies or defence/aviation working groupsWhy Join Us?
