Description

Our client BAE Systems, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Improvement Engineering Lead to join their team in Samlesbury. This contract role, operating inside IR35, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a prestigious project within the aerospace sector.

Please note, you will need to hold Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK before application.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing engineering improvement projects within the manufacturing domainDeveloping and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivityIdentifying and analysing performance bottlenecks, proposing innovative solutions to address themEnsuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements within the Defence & Security sectorCollaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiativesProviding technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholdersPreparing detailed reports and presentations on project progress and outcomesEnsuring timely delivery of project milestones and objectives

Job Requirements:

Experience in an engineering role within the manufacturing industry, preferably within Defence & Security or aerospaceProven ability to lead and manage projects, driving operational improvementsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCapability to work full-time on-site in SamlesburyRelevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
