Government Equipment Manager

Location: Stevenage - 1 day per week onsite

Sector: Defence & Aerospace

Security: Must be eligible for SC clearance

Join a leading defence organisation supporting the safe and compliant management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) across major UK and international programmes.

In this role, you'll provide expert advice and assurance on how GFE is controlled, used and reported within the business. You'll work with project teams, the MoD and partners to make sure government-owned assets are managed in line with contractual, security and export control requirements.

This is initially a 12 month contract at a rate of 60ph Inside IR35

What you'll be doing:

Advising programmes on GFE policy, DEFCONs and compliance obligations

Ensuring assets are correctly received, allocated, used and returned to the customer

Conducting internal audits and supporting MoD reviews

Developing and improving GFE management processes and tools

Supporting reporting, governance and continuous improvement across programmes

What we're looking for:

Experience managing GFE or government-owned assets in defence or aerospace

Strong understanding of MoD contracts and DEFCON requirements

Background in compliance, assurance, supply chain or asset management

Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders

Knowledge of ERP / asset management systems (e.g. SAP)

Eligible for SC clearance
