Application Specialist – DV Cleared

Description

Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a DV Cleared Application Specialist for a contract role. The successful applicant will work within a Special Projects Tactical Communications development team, focussing on the installation, implementation, and integration of COTS (Commercial Off–The–Shelf), MOTS (Modified Off–The–Shelf), and MOD (Ministry of Defence) applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, implement, and integrate various types of applications including COTS, MOTS, and MOD applicationsProvide expertise as an applications DBA (Database Administrator)Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of Oracle ApplicationsCollaborate with team members at Site A (West Midlands) and Malvern to meet project goalsMaintain high standards of security and confidentiality aligned with DV Clearance requirementsSupport tactical communications projects within the development teamProactively identify and troubleshoot application–related issuesDocument procedures and maintain comprehensive records for all implemented applications

Job Requirements:

Experience in applications DBA functionsProficiency with Oracle ApplicationsDemonstrable experience with installation, implementation, and integration of applicationsDV Clearance is mandatoryWillingness to attend sites in the West Midlands and MalvernExperience in the Defence & Security sector is highly advantageousStrong problem–solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills

Contract Details:

Start date between 15th to 23rd NovemberContract extends to at least August 2026Role falls inside IR35
