The seat 600E is a classic Spanish city car, known for its small structure and charming design, making it ideal for the busy city life. Produced by Spain’s SEAT under Fiat license from 1957 to 1973, it was instrumental in the country’s post-war motorization and by the early 1970s, one in every four cars on Spanish roads was a SEAT 600—a testament to its popularity.
Whilst they have become increasingly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts they have also become increasingly hard to find, with few coming to market, particularly in the UK.
This charming example is ready for the next owner to restore her to her former glory, we think this would be a straightforward recommissioning project to return it to the road or the perfect base for a full restoration. The great news is that the car runs well and the owner has driven it around his premises; after fitting a new battery, cleaning the points and it giving it some fresh fuel the car fired up nicely.
It pleasingly has a current V5C, which shows no former keepers since being registered in the UK, in 2022 and it is correctly registered as historic, so is both MOT and TAX exempt.
This is a fantastic rare and quirky project, running and driving with scope for basic cosmetic and recommissioning works or a super base for a full restoration.
