Our Client is a successful, award-winning, family-owned food business, specialising in artisan, organic and ethically sourced flours and foods, operating over a portfolio of loved brands. The business is incredibly exciting and highly ambitious, whose values are firmly set in strong ethical and environmental foundations.

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting a Sales Executive to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a forward thinking, proactive individual. You will ideally be of Graduate calibre, a self-starter with a strong ability to collaborate with differing teams within the business and work independently when required.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised person with exceptional communication and numerical skills. This is an ideal role to learn the ways of working at an FMCG Food company. Career development will be actively encouraged with possible regional account management responsibilities being undertaken within 12-18 months.

On offer to the successful applicant is a starting salary of £25K pa, together with a full company benefits package, support and training given, as well as longer term career development opportunities.

Detailed duties and responsibilities will be:

Reporting directly to the Senior National Account Manager, but providing support across all areas of the sales function, you will;

Provide day to day support to the Sales Team across all administrative tasks.

Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly sales and pricing reports and ensure all data is captured allowing accurate reporting metrics.

Tracking sales performance against quarterly/annual targets.

Managing supplier agreements administration.

Complete customer New Line Forms, promotional activity submission forms, e-mail relevant product specifications and process sample requests.

Monitor and manage sales in-box with analysis of enquiries.

Plan and organise specific trade shows as directed.

Update and maintain CRM system.

Undertake specific research and investigation as directed.

Collate competitor product activity, promotions and new products.

Design and maintain sales trackers as required. These may include promotional trackers and expenditure.

Field telephone calls as required.You will have the following qualifications & experience:

Should ideally be of Graduate calibre with a passion for, and want to get into the FMCG Food industry.

Should have excellent organisation and time keeping skills and be a quick learner who is keen to forge a career as a Sales professional.

You will need to be competent at using all Microsoft Office applications such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Proactive approach with ability to problem solve using own initiative.

Proven ability to challenge and reprioritise tasks.

Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.

Ability to understand, map and identify improvements to processes.It’s great if you also have the following:

Previous experience working in the Food sector, but this is not essential.This position is available with immediate effect.
