Business Development Account Manager

Location - Northampton

Salary - £24,000 – £32,000 per annum (DOE)

We’re working with a market-leading company in the construction and built environment sector that's on the lookout for a Business Development Account Manager to join their dynamic and ambitious team. Whether you're just starting out or already have some experience under your belt, this is a rare opportunity to develop real-world commercial skills within a supportive and fast-growing business.

This role is not a call centre job - there are no high-pressure targets or scripted calls. Instead, you’ll focus on building genuine relationships with clients, managing real projects, and helping businesses grow. You'll receive full training and a personalised development plan to get you where you want to go.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage a portfolio of clients and become their go-to contact for ongoing projects

Speak to prospective businesses and uncover new opportunities (all B2B)

Carry out essential admin tasks and keep records up to date and accurate

Build strong client relationships through high-quality, consultative communication

Use top-tier tools, data, and strategy to support campaigns and outreach efforts

Prepare for and attend regular review meetings with your clients

Continuously develop your sales and business development skills through hands-on experience and mentorshipWhat our client is looking for

You don't need years of experience - just the right attitude. We're seeking someone who is:

Curious, driven, and eager to learn

Comfortable speaking to people on the phone in a professional setting

Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive

Able to demonstrate strong work ethic and business awareness

Confident using basic IT systems (you’ll complete a short typing test)

Experience in customer service or any client-facing role is a bonusPlease note: Due to the office location, a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
