Description
This Simrad 7 was used on my Orkney Strikeliner for 1 year between 2022 and 2023 before I sold the boat. The boat went to Lake Windermere so the purchaser didn’t want to buy the Simrad 7. It hasn’t been used since and has been stored carefully indoors in a cool, dry environment:
I used it when boating around Poole Harbour, Bournemouth and Swanage.

The Simrad 7 comes with the transponder that is mounted on the stern and the cable to reach the steering binnacle. It also comes with the mounting bracket and the optional sun cover which I thought was a must to protect the screen.
It also comes with an SD card with the latest electronic charts for the UK coastline at the time I purchased it - date on card 05/2021.
I found it very useful for general navigation with the maps, route plotting, depth, and speed over ground. But it also has a very good fish finder if you’re into your fishing.
Can be seen working. Has only been used for one summer so barely used really.
