Description
Successful manufacturer require a Purchasing Assistant on a part-time (4 full days), 12 month FTC contract. Applicants need previous experience within purchasing administration or supply chain and ideally have been exposed to an ERP or MRP system.
The Purchasing Assistant will offer support to a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers, performing operational and administrative procurement tasks. Working within a fast-paced production manufacturing environment, the Purchasing Assistant will be proactive in building strong relationships with supply chain partners and stakeholders.
The position is available on a 12 month FTC, and it's envisaged the jobholder will work part-time (4 full days).
Specific duties of the Purchasing Assistant include:
To raise and amend where necessary purchase orders on vendors
To ensure all orders are acknowledged and loaded on MRP/ERP system, and MRP/ERP data is maintained
Expediting
Monitor stock levels
Foster stakeholder relationships with engineering, production and quality
Purchasing Assistant applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience with operational purchasing tasks - raising purchase orders, expediting etc.
Previously held a role in; purchasing, supply chain, logistics or materials planning
Strong organisation and teamwork skills
Experience with MRP/ERP
Comfortable being office-based and working to a 12 month FTC and part-time hours (4 full days)
