Description

We're looking for a Procurement Business Partner for a public sector organisation based in Nottinghamshire (hybrid) on an initial 6 months (possible extension to 12 months) contract, paying between £302 and £369 per day (Inside IR35).

There is an expectation to attend the office in Nottinghamshire two days a week.

The successful Procurement Business Partner will act as the procurement expert and trusted adviser across the organisation, shaping commercial strategy and influencing decision-making. You'll lead the negotiation, planning and placement of contracts, design new commercial arrangements that reflect business needs and risks, and manage suppliers to sustain value across the contract lifecycle. You'll also ensure full compliance with UK public procurement legislation and keep clear, auditable records.

You will need proven experience in the following:

Public sector procurement and commercial delivery

Managing multiple procurement projects end to end

UK public procurement legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023 and transparency requirements

Best practice across the procurement lifecycle, including evaluation, award and contract management

Negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making

Producing clear, accurate and auditable procurement records

Experience in a regulated public sector procurement environment, including frameworks, competitive tendering and procurement documentation, would be beneficial.

CIPS qualification, or working towards it, is highly desirable, though equivalent procurement and commercial experience is acceptable.
