Description

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Administrator to support colleagues with their purchasing activities in line with Public Sector Procurement Regulations and Policy. This role is pivotal in ensuring value for money and compliance, managing lower-value procurements from need identification through to implementation and performance monitoring.

Support procurement colleagues with a range of projects and administrative tasks

Draft clear and concise specifications and performance criteria for procurement activities

Manage the publication of procurement opportunities through the electronic portal (In-Tend)

Carry out supplier and market research to identify suitable options and inform decisions

Ensure all procurement activities are fully compliant with relevant policies and procedures

Lead the evaluation and moderation of quotes and tenders based on price and quality

Prepare and present contract award recommendations for approval

Build effective relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to support successful outcomes

Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the procurement function by sharing ideas and best practiceSkills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

Proven experience in a procurement-related position

Strong working knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015

Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships

Highly organised with the ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities

Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Positive, honest, and collaborative attitude, with a strong team ethic

Solutions-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Experience within the housing sector is advantageous but not essentialHow to Apply:
