Marketing Assistant -Fashion

Location: Head Office, Wakefield

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Office Based)

A leading fashion retailer is seeking a Marketing Assistant with a degree in Marketing or Communications to support the marketing team in delivering campaigns that boost brand awareness, attract new customers, and drive business growth — all while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in providing local marketing support, including preparing logos, promotional materials (e.g., coupons, posters, flyers), and general information to help drive store traffic and sales.

Support the monitoring and reporting of local marketing activities and help evaluate the success of campaigns.

Help organise and prepare for in-store, regional, and national events; attend events when required to support the team.

Assist in compiling and distributing the monthly PR coverage report to internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with the PR agency to provide product samples aligned with current seasonal trends.

Contribute to the development of the quarterly consumer magazine by helping to gather samples for reader makeovers and images for editorial content.

Support the planning and scripting of in-store voiceovers and liaise with external agencies to deliver engaging and timely messaging.

Help manage visual content for customer-facing screens promoting seasonal launches, loyalty club events, and key marketing campaigns.

Work with the Marketing Executive to produce the monthly internal newsletter ("Marketing Post") showcasing best practices, store highlights, events, and press coverage.

Assist in updating internal communication platforms to keep store teams informed of marketing initiatives and activities. Person Specification:

We're looking for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Fashion. The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, eager to learn, and have strong communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, and a UK driving licence is a plus.
