Description
Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Buckinghamshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.
This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and learn in a fast–moving business that is open to supporting the successful candidate in the journey to complete CIPS.
Key responsibilities:
Manage, raise and process all purchase ordersSource and negotiate key items with suppliersEnsure orders are progressing in a timely and effective mannerWork closely with internal stakeholders to understand current and upcoming purchasing requirementsSupport with company indirect purchasesResearch and source alternative means of supply for urgent requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a Purchasing or Buying roleIdeally part qualified in CIPS or with a willingness to complete with company supportExperience with an ERP/MRP systemSome knowledge of import/export proceduresGood IT skills including ExcelStrong attention to detailGood communication skills
