1956 James (197cc) Captain
Historic Registration – No Tax or MOT required.
I bought this bike about 5 years ago for nostalgic reasons. (It was the same model I passed my test on when I was 16). Although it had had an engine rebuild and items replaced, there were still a number of things I have had done to bring it up to the standard it is today. It starts first or second kick and I have just replaced the battery.
I would love to keep it but my wife won’t let me put it in the lounge and due to the fact that I have had both hips replaced I no longer feel safe to ride it. For the purest, there are still one or two things that could be done to make it mint. Chrome nuts and bolts and chrome around the forks etc but the time has come to sell.
V5 in my name. Historic registration so no road tax or MOT required.
