Honda Cb250RS 1983 Project - clear out sale (bike, 2 engines + all my spares.

Everything has to go, run out of time to complete and no room at new house for motorbikes!

Rebuilt as a sprint bike a few years ago and now almost returned to road use, with original loom, new lights, indicators, horn and instrument cluster. This is not a standard bike, the running gear has been converted to accept cbf125 front end (forks, brakes, wheel, disc). The rear end has a 130mm ‘fat tyre’ from a Kawasaki ER500 which is an extremely good fit. This has provided 17” tyres at both ends and a lower profile for the bike.

Vehicle identity confirmed with Honda Owners Club. No V5 and not road registered.

Bad Points
The vehicle currently has an oil leak from the drive seal and it has been drained down of all oil. Must be collected and cannot be ridden away.
Wiring needs sorting, as matching the original loom to non standard dash, headlight and handlebar controls has been difficult and, although working it is not completed to my satisfaction.

Spares Package includes:
2 spare engines! One is stripped down and labelled up for reassembly once new consumables have been obtained. The second is in an unknown condition but is complete and comes with a Suzuki (poss RM250) carburettor. Pictures show the spares package, consisting of 2 boxes of all my spare bike parts. There are a couple of spare igniters and an assortment of spare parts and original leftover parts. I will also include all my other motorcycle spares odds and ends part box, as I am packing up with motorbikes for good.
Separate sprint bike loom and wiring diagram included. All told the spares fill up 2 large plastic box ‘veg’ trays for the engine parts, 2 boxes of other spares, workshop manuals, build diary notes, plus the other engine.
Also included are a unworn Shoei full face ACU gold star helmet and my wooden mock up frame for a paddock starter which has the motor, rollers, pillow blocks and foot control switch.

The vehicle is located in Plymouth, Devon. I will not arrange delivery, do swaps, accept funny money, cheques, or offers from outside the UK. You will need to bring a van to collect all the stuff and the bike cannot be ridden away.

Please check the vehicle location - it is a long drive down to the southwest of England. This is at your cost and not mine, I will not offset pick-up journey costs against the sale price because it is worth the price in spare parts alone.
