We're working with an established organisation looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated HR Assistant to join their existing HR function in Fakenham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in HR, with the chance to develop their knowledge of employment law, HR processes and employee relations while working closely alongside an experienced HR professional.

The organisation has over 100 employees, providing the successful candidate with broad exposure to HR across multiple offices. Personality, attitude and willingness to learn are particularly important, with a Level 3 HR qualification advantageous but not essential for the right person.

The RoleWe are seeking an HR Assistant to provide day-to-day support across the organisation, working closely with Michelle and the wider HR function while gradually taking on more responsibility as their knowledge and experience develops.

Responsibilities include:

Providing day-to-day support across the HR functionWorking closely with the HR lead on a broad range of HR mattersAssisting with employee-related queries and providing support to managers and employeesSupporting the development, review and implementation of HR policies and proceduresAssisting with employment documentation, correspondence and general HR administrationUndertaking research into employment law and HR best practiceSupporting recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle processesMaintaining accurate and confidential employee recordsAssisting with employee relations matters where appropriateHelping to organise and support HR initiatives across the organisationBuilding strong working relationships with employees and managers across multiple officesTravelling to other offices when required to provide hands-on HR support and build relationshipsSupporting the wider HR team with projects and initiatives as the role developsAbout YouGenuine interest in developing a career within HR and employment lawEager to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilitiesPersonable and confident when dealing with people at all levelsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workloadComfortable carrying out research and developing knowledge of employment legislationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional and discreet when dealing with confidential informationPrevious experience within a private-sector HR environment is advantageousExperience writing or reviewing HR policies would be beneficialA Level 3 HR qualification would be advantageous but is not essentialComfortable travelling between offices when requiredWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceOpportunity to join an established organisation with over 100 employeesSupportive working environment alongside an experienced HR professionalBroad exposure to HR and employment law mattersHands-on experience across a wide range of HR processesOpportunity to work with employees and managers across multiple officesOngoing learning and development opportunitiesGenuine long-term progression into a broader HR positionWhy Apply?This role is ideal for an HR Assistant or HR professional at an early stage of their career who is looking to develop and grow within HR, rather than simply provide administrative support.
