Description
This example of an original systemdek transcription tt is in perfect working order, and good cosmetic condition with the lid and hinges in very good condition.
Located in Cambridge.
Viewing welcome.
'The original Systemdek Transcription turntable is a 2-speed, belt-driven design with 3-point sprung chassis and AC synchronous motor.
The heavy sheet steel base plate is supported on height-adjustable rubber feet, one at the centre and two at the front.
The sides of the plinth are constructed from an aluminium extrusion, damped and decorated with black and silver.
The sub-chassis of the Transcription floats on an un-damped, three point, spring suspension and carries the arm and platter assembly.
The sub-chassis is constructed from aluminium, steel and a specially damped arm plate and is free from structural resonances in the audio range.
The platter is a massive alloy unit, individually balanced during manufacture.
Completing this assembly is a 10mm, high precision spindle of stainless steel, countersunk at its foot to provide a seating for a precision 8mm ball bearing.
