Gorgeous looking, stylish, audiophile turntable from the 1970s. A professional direct-drive stereo turntable with sophisticated DC servo phono motor and highly-sensitive S-shaped tonearm. 33.3 & 45 rpm with fine tuning speed settings.
This has been in my possession for 15 years and was gifted to me from the previous careful owner who had had it since new.
CHASSIS
Excellent cosmetic condition. Bodywork and veneer in excellent condition. All lettering on controls unworn. All outer/visible controls in excellent condition with minimal wear/age on any outer chrome/metal components. Underneath and feet in excellent condition.
DUSTCOVER
Minor surface scratches and blemishes on dustcover (see pics). Hinges in great condition, still connected with smooth motion.
TONEARM & CONNECTIONS
Tonearm up/down controls work. No original cartridge/head-unit although connections are clean and uncorroded. I have been using with newer Ortofon unit (not included) and playback has sounded very warm. RCA connections at rear all intact with original cables. The earth cable supplied is not original. Fitted with a UK Type G plug although I suspect this might not be original.
OPERATION
It plays with beautiful sound although I have detected some slight inconsistencies with the speed responsiveness and variance during playback so some investigation/maintenance might be required to restore this.
The ‘OFF’ setting doesn’t work so the rotation can only be switched off at the mains.
