ROOM AVAILABLE IN CHILLED CREATIVE WAREHOUSE

Description

Hi all, we have a room available in our warehouse, from September 1st with some flexibility to move in a little later if needed. We are planning to do viewings soon, so please send some details about yourself if you’d like to meet us (name, age, job, interests, anything else that would describe you as a person and housemate). We are looking for tidy, fun-loving, open minded, mid-20s upwards housemates to join our unconventional family, and we can also consider a couple.

For a single occupancy the rent is £800 per month including all bills, for a couple, the rent is £950 per month including all bills. In addition to the first month’s rent, one-month upfront payment is also required (that becomes the last month’s rent paid), plus £50 deposit. So, in total this would be £1,650 single and £1,950 couple occupancy payment requirements at the beginning of tenancy.

We are 15 housemates in total, but it doesn’t get very intense. We are between 24 and 56 years in age working and studying in different areas such as art, editing, music, film, science, healthcare, charity, hair colourist, software, carpentry, building and pyrotechnics. This is quite a chill, civilised warehouse with occasional weekend noise so would suit someone who’s looking for chats and hangouts during the week but wouldn’t mind get-togethers and fun on the weekend. We enjoy house dinners, BBQ's, movie nights, venturing out to parties, gigs etc but there is also room to do your own thing, and we love supporting each other with creative ideas.

About the warehouse:
We have one spacious double sized room available, on our downstairs floor. There is no external window, but the room is properly ventilated.

The warehouse has a huge open shared communal space with 5.5m high ceilings and a wide external window, a dedicated workbench for art and carpentry projects, a workout area and mezzanine co-working space with hot desks. The large open kitchen has 2 ovens and 2 hobs, 4 fridges and 3 freezers. There are 2 showers, 1 bath, and 3 toilets. We rarely queue for anything, and we all work around each other and get along really well. We don't smoke indoors.

There is a weekly cleaner for communal areas, which is included in the rent. We also have a kitty of £10 per person per month for communal cleaning supplies, toilet roll etc. We are in Manor House (N4) about a 10 min walk from the underground and 15 min walk from Seven Sisters and Stamford Hill stations, and about 20-30 min walk from Stoke Newington Church Street. There are also buses (and night buses) just round the corner, and of course the vibrant local warehouse community complete with locally run bar and music / art studios very close by.
