Description
These 12 x Costume Designs, by Leon Bakst for Diaghilev ‘s Ballets Russes are from a calendar ( San Francisco Performing Arts Library and Museum ) but are crying out to be framed , as they are so decorative. The Bakst designs/ drawings are stunning and very distinctive. Each one is from ballets dated 1910- 1921
Framed, they would enhance any interior; either as a set or perhaps on walls either side of
a mantelpiece or a bed. ( even digitally blown-up, if that’s possible ? )
I would prefer to sell as one lot but could separate them in 4’s or 6 ‘s.
Included are 2 x press cuttings ( 3 x sides ) which give a further insight to Bakst’s genius.
