For sale is my 1999 Porsche Boxster 2.5 finished in Silver with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

I've owned and enjoyed this car, but my business is taking priority and I simply don't have the time to enjoy it as much as it deserves. It's a genuine, honest 27-year-old Porsche that's ready to be driven home and enjoyed.

The car has just had a fresh 12-month MOT and drives very well. The naturally aspirated 2.5L flat-six engine sounds fantastic through the custom straight pipe exhaust, giving it the distinctive Porsche soundtrack that really comes alive higher up the rev range.

As with any 27 year old car, there are some bad bits.. so I'd rather be completely upfront:

Radio has been removed as the volume knob broke off (single DIN opening with wiring present)

Cold-start idle can be a little rough for the first few seconds after starting. A brand new fuel pump is included with the sale, which I suspect will resolve this along with the fuel gauge issue.
Fuel gauge isn't accurate, always reads a full tank.

Driver's side dashboard vent trim is missing.

Steering wheel sits slightly to the left while driving straight, so it could benefit from a wheel alignment.

Convertible roof microswitch can occasionally play up. When closing the roof, a small piece of rolled paper placed in the switch ensures the windows return fully. It's something I've lived with without issue.

Despite the above niggles, the car starts, drives and pulls exactly as it should through the gears. It still puts a huge smile on your face every time you drive it, especially with the roof down and the straight piped flat-six singing behind you.

This isn't a concours example, but it's an honest, usable Porsche that's becoming increasingly hard to find with a manual gearbox. It would make an excellent weekend toy, summer cruiser or affordable entry into Porsche ownership.

The car is HPI clear and comes with the brand-new fuel pump ready for the next owner to fit if they wish.

Please note: As much as I'd love to believe everyone is the next Lewis Hamilton, test drives will only be allowed with proof of full insurance covering this vehicle. I'm more than happy to take serious buyers out for a passenger ride so you can hear the flat-six and see how the car drives.
