Description
Herb. Apple mint is a superb attractive mint which can be used as an ornamental plant, Hardy and very easy to grow but best in sun or part shade, as with any mint it is best in a large flower pot, medium size planter or trough as unless contained it would spread rapidly in open ground.
Apple mint leaves can be used to make apple mint jelly, as well as a flavouring in dishes such as apple mint couscous. It is also often used to make a mint tea, as a garnish, or in salads. this mint plant can be a great addition to a herb garden, producing fragranced purple flowers, flowering late summer.
