An interesting tree and one of the oldest fruits in cultivation.
Happy in the ground or a large pot.
Can be fan trained against a wall - see pic.
One of the toughest, hardiest and easiest trees to grow, it produces a heavy crop of purple-brown fruit with sweet red flesh.
Full sun or part shade.
In hot summers it can produce two crops of fruit !
Highly ornamental large glossy, jungle-like, exotic leaves.
Tolerates most soil types.
