A beautiful landscape. An Original Etching framed. NOT REPRODUCTION. A true Authentic artwork signed by John Brunsden of Gower. Etching number 87/125. A welsh Landscape depicting undulating scenery and coastal seascape. Enriched subtle colours, textured very pleasing and gentle to the eye. John Brunsden was an English painter and printmaker who was born in Cheltenham in 1933. He studied first at the Cheltenham School of Art and then later at the Royal College of Art where he studied under Julian Trevelyan. Later he would delve into the actual work of printmaking for other artists, including his former mentor Trevelyan. In 1965 he was a founding member of the Printmakers Council, which boasted members such as Valerie Thornton and Michael Rothenstein. Brunsden enjoyed travelling the British Isles and it was the muse for much of his life’s work. His visits to Cumbria and Pembrokeshire yielded terrific collections of his recognisable style. John Brunsden Exhibited in London, Brussels, The United States of America, the Royal Academy in London and other countless locations during his extensive and successful career. His work can be found in the national collections of The Tate, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The National Trust, and the British Arts Council.
