My name is Suzie, and I am a wedding celebrant and marriage officer with Celebrants Scotland. I possibly have the best job in the world! ❤️

First of all, congratulations on your engagement! I can only imagine the excitement you are feeling at the moment as you start to plan your wedding. ❤️❤️

As someone who loves love, I find it an absolute privilege to work with couples to deliver the wedding ceremony you have dreamed about. I love love so much that I've married my wife twice already, and I am not sure we are quite finished yet ❤️

I create meaningful, heartfelt and completely individual ceremonies to celebrate your most special day, working closely with you to bring your unique love story to life. Whether you want a quiet and intimate ceremony with just a few of your nearest or dearest there or are planning a much larger event, I will deliver the wedding ceremony you want with humour, compassion and care ❤️

I have been a nurse for the last 35 years and I love working with people. I can talk to anyone (quite literally anyone) so I'm always on hand to calm those wedding day nerves that might creep in. I also love fun and with some stand up comedy in my past I absolutely love putting humour into your ceremony (if you want it) because the ceremony is no longer the 'boring' bit of the day to get through before the party starts. Your ceremony will be where the party starts and will set your guests up for the rest of the day ❤️

We honestly cannot thank Suzie from Celebrants Scotland enough. She stepped in at the very last minute when our original celebrant was no longer able to do our ceremony, and from the very first conversation she immediately put us at ease. She reassured us, calmed any worries we had, and made what could have been a stressful situation feel completely manageable. Despite the short amount of time before the wedding, Suzie made such a genuine effort to get to know us. She was always available if we wanted a chat or had questions, and she was incredibly generous in letting us get to know her too. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we truly felt her care, kindness and consideration throughout the whole process. On the wedding day itself, Suzie was there for both of us - offering quiet support, calming nerves, and doing an amazing job of warming up our guests before the ceremony. The ceremony flowed so seamlessly that it honestly felt like she’d known us for years. She delivered it with such ease and confidence, and afterwards so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was and how perfectly it captured us and our story as a couple. Her warmth and kindness just radiated, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. What makes Suzie even more special is that her support didn’t stop after the wedding. Nearly a year on, she has kept in touch with us - checking in, reminding us of that incredible day, and sharing lovely moments like letting us know where our tree was planted as part of Celebrants Scotland’s tree-planting initiative for 2025 ceremonies. It has meant so much to us and shows just how much she truly cares. We are beyond grateful that Suzie was our celebrant and couldn’t recommend her more highly. Thank you, Suzie, for everything you did (and continue to do!) for us as a married couple 💛

Suzie was amazing from the start to finish! She was quick to respond to any questions, silly or not she was always on hand to help. She is professional, easy to chat to and of course funny! Our commitment ceremony was so perfect and she helped making this possible. She eased all our anxiety and got us excited on the lead up to the big day. The price was amazing for what we got and we are so glad we picked suzie to be our celebrant. She still stays in contact with us regularly and we love it. She also added little extra like certificates, our ceremony in writing which is so lovely to keep and a little gift for us. We cant recommend Suzie enough she was the best and making our day so special.

We booked Suzie back in Jan 2025 for our wedding on Saturday (16.5.26) and all I can say is am glad we did! From booking until the big day Suzie checked in monthly and weekly before the big day. On the day she brought so much laughter and joy into the room and delivered an amazing ceremony, it had us down to a T! I wish Suzie all the best in her celebrant journey and I will miss our monthly check in now! Thanks again Suzie you gave us the perfect ceremony! lots of love Mr and Mrs McLaren and Nala xx

Suzie, Where do we even begin? You are truly amazing at what you do. From all the communication on the lead up to the wedding, and keeping us right with marriage forms and other details, you were such a great help throughout the whole process. We loved meeting with you and hearing snippets of our ceremony. You captured our story perfectly, in such a heartfelt, lighthearted and personal way. It really touched our hearts and many of our guests too. You genuinely think of everything. We loved the Mexican wave video of all the guests and we are so excited that you gave us a copy of our ceremony to keep forever! You are just so thoughtful! Suzie was the celebrant for our wedding on the 7th of April and what a ceremony it was. When we booked Suzie back at the beginning of last year we asked for a ceremony full of laughter and that was certainly delivered. Ourselves and our guests absolutely loved suzie, the ceremony was spoke about even the next day by all. It was fun, meaningful and full of laughter. We are so glad we chose Suzie to be a big part of our day. An amazing, kind and very thoughtful women who put so much detail and effort into our ceremony. Thank you Suzie ❤️
