Classic 1989 Citroen C15 Romahome

- Used motor (1.8 litre 5-speed diesel, Lucas) installed at 146k (June 2025)
- new timing belt and new water pump installed at the same time
- good fuel economy
- slightly improved clearance - R14 tyres and new rear assistance springs
- brakes recently serviced and new brake kit installed in rear brakes.

The motor was recently replaced with a used motor in good condition. It is running really well having recently driven across 9 countries and through the Alps, over significant mountain passes (the highest being Col du Galibier at 2,600m). It is slow but it gets you there. It also drives well through cities. As it is smaller than most campervans, it is easy to park and handles narrow streets.

This is a small van but you can live in it long term as the space is so well designed. You can stay in parking lots discreetly because you can cook and wash up completely inside.

It would also work really well as a weekend camper as it's quick and easy to load up and get on the road and won't take up too much parking space.

We LOVE this van which has been our home for the last 3 months.

FYI
- No air conditioning
- not all dash lights work but all the lights you need do work.
- minor water leaks in front cab
- the brakes have been checked and serviced and are working well but the pedal periodically sticks during very slow city driving. We have been told that this is not a brake issue but rather an issue of the mechanism converting an original left hand drive vehicle into right hand drive (as with all Romahomes).
- Missing fuel primer pump. This can be cheaply replaced if you like, but we've just travelled for months without one. It's not a problem as long as you don't run out of fuel.
- this is a wonderful van but it is older so there are bits and pieces not in perfect working condition (eg missing window stay, passenger door stop).
