Serious caravan lovers only. This is a proper original Eccles caravan from the 1950s, fully renovated with care, but still full of the charm and craftsmanship that made Eccles so respected in their time.
If you’re someone who loves caravans with character, appreciates original features, and wants something totally different to anything else on the road, this might be for you. It’s been a joy to own, and it always gets attention for all the right reasons.

Origin and History
This is a genuine Eccles caravan from the 1950s, back when things were built properly and meant to last. Eccles was one of the top caravan manufacturers in the UK, and this model still carries its original Eccles stamp. These kinds of caravans aren’t made anymore and finding one in this condition is rare.

Renovation and Original Features
It’s had a full restoration while keeping its original charm. A lot of time and love has gone into it and the work includes:
Complete chassis renovation
Fresh new paint job
Handstitched cream upholstery made from a strong, durable fibre
Original woodwork throughout, kept and carefully restored
Still has the original wind-up wall clock, working and in place
Runs on gas and electricity with a solar panel fitted for off-grid use
Manual water pump installed which can easily be switched for electric
Comes with a full set of keys

Why I’m Selling and pricing
 unforeseeable family commitments mean I just can’t enjoy her the way I need to , so I’ve made the tough decision to let it go. I’ve put so much time and care into this caravan and I’d love for it to go to someone who’ll truly appreciate the work and the history behind it.

The price is based on its rarity and pristine condition where inside out and all framing has been redone. Considering beaten up caravans are sold for more it’s a great price! 

Honest Thoughts
I’ve owned a VW camper before and as beautiful as it was, the constant engine issues and mechanical upkeep were draining and expensive. This Eccles doesn’t have those problems. With no motor to worry about, maintenance is minimal. It’s simple, solid and easy - a great investment if you want something that gives back, trip after trip.
