I bought this a while ago from a seller who said he'd been given it without a power supply. He'd tried an ac adapter that he had laying about but couldn't get the hard drive to load.
So I found a suitable power supply (from a fully working 23 inch ultra thin AOC monitor I have spare) which meets the spec perfectly and discovered that the hard drive does in fact load ok. I think the ac adapter the seller tried was underpowered.
The hard drive had over 100 songs on it which have now been deleted when I re-initialised the hard drive.
So I am not a musician and don't have instruments to plug in to test everything, but I plugged headphones in to listen to the recorded tracks (which could all be accessed on the hard drive), test the track and volume sliders, test the drum track section and all seemed good.
So because I can't test anything more than that, the studio is sold as seen. But it will also come with the AOC monitor thrown in so that you have the shared power supply.

No box or instruction manual, but the manual can be very easily downloaded from the Boss website.
