Mountain Technology 65cm Climbing Ice Axe

Mountain Technology 65cm Climbing Ice Axe and spent most of its time being carried up and down the hill in my rucksack in case I needed to use it. The axe has only been used twice on two separate one-day winter skills courses in the Cairngorms so in very good condition. The leash has never been used so is brand new. There is a tiny bit of rust on the tip even though it was stored in an internal cupboard which would easily come off with some wire wool. The adze measures approx. 27cm. I must have bought it just as Mountain Technology closed its factory in Glencoe. The company was known for its durable construction suitable for carious mountain terrains. It consists of an aluminium shaft and a strong forged-steel head with serrated pick and a triangular adze with a hole for the leash attachment. Designed to be lightweight due to features like lightening holes in the head which also serve as leash attachment points. This axe is suitable for a wide range of mountaineering activities from snow hiking to steeper terrain. It weighs about 560g.
