Description
We're moving house and have this home-made climbing wall or system board or 'woodie' as they say, that was made during lockdown to keep my climbing-mad son happy that has to go!
Need to give it a new home by Wednesday 27th August, yes in four days time!
It's two sheets of 8ft x 4ft 3/4in plywood with supports. Has threads for standard climbing hold bolts all over, just like a real climbing wall.
Currently stored in bits in the garage but photo shows it assembled in my son's bedroom.
Cost a couple of hundred pounds in bits and a lot of work to put together.
There's a mix of homemade wooden holds and some hand-me-down plastic holds. Would be good basis for your own project.
I'm really reluctant to chop it up but can't take it to the new house and need to get it out of the garage soon.
So if you have a van that will take it, a couple of friends to lift it and can act quickly then it's yours for free!!
