Description

A lovely collection of ten, professionally framed prints by W J Linton (1812-1897).

Priced at just £35 for the whole set of ten; or individually at £10 per picture.

They feature a selection of scenes of English rural and agricultural life in early Victorian times. William James Linton was an English-born American wood-engraver and landscape painter. These prints were originally produced in black and white and featured in The Illustrated London News in 1846 and 1847. These are twentieth century colour prints.

Each print is set in an oval pale grey mount with a wood frame - the inner edge of each frame is gold in colour. Each frame is approximately 36cm by 28.5cm. The prints, mounts and frames are all in very good condition and ready for hanging.

Cash on collection only please, from SE19 between Crystal Palace and Dulwich.

Titles: The Straw Yard Berkshire, Unstacking Wheat, Thrashing, Thatching, Hay Harvest, Drilling and Harrowing, Sheep Washing, Sheep Shearing, Lambing, The Southgate Steeple Chase.
