With us at RFH Classics we have this wonderfully period correct 1957 Lambretta LD150, a scooter that perfectly captures the elegant simplicity and thoughtful engineering of mid-1950s Italian design. Finished in a very crisp New White with tasteful Blue detailing, this LD150 presents beautifully with a real presence about it. The enclosed bodywork and flowing lines give it a far more refined, almost automotive feel than many of its contemporaries, a design that still feels right today.

This particular scooter has had just two owners since arriving in the UK in 2011, with the most recent keeper enjoying it since 2016. It’s clearly been well cared for, retaining all the charm and character you would hope for, while remaining a usable and enjoyable classic rather than something overly delicate.

Produced by Innocenti, the LD series holds an important place in scooter history. Introduced in 1951 as a more refined and fully enclosed alternative to earlier designs, it was aimed at riders who wanted practicality and weather protection without losing that unmistakable Italian style. By the mid-1950s, Lambretta had become a true rival to Vespa and models like this LD150 played a big part in that success.

The 150cc engine offered a useful step up in performance over the earlier 125, while still delivering the smooth, easy-going riding experience that makes these scooters so enjoyable. The scooter qualifies for historic road tax and benefits from being ULEZ exempt. As a classic it is eligible for low-cost classic insurance and is supplied with 3 months major mechanical warranty. All of our vehicles are sold clear of finance or insurance damage with a certificate provided at handover. We recommend using premium unleaded fuel (E5) in all of our classic vehicles.
