Description
This is a 1.5 Watt Solar Panel which I bought brand new from Maplin. It can be used to trickle charge 12V batteries to maintain them at optimal charge condition so you don't suffer from flat batteries. It has a built in blocking diode too ensuring all charge is sent to your battery and prevents reverse charging from the battery to the solar panel at night.
It can be used on small cars, I would say up to 40 Ah batteries, motorbikes and small 12V batteries including small leisure baterries too. This solar panel could also be used for projects or experimenting with and would be the perfect sized solar panel to get anyone interested in solar panels for any ages!
It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter and 2 crocodile clips for a direct connection to a battery if your vehicle doesn't allow charge through the cigarette lighter port. It also has 2.4 Meters (8 foot) of cable attached to the solar panel so you can place it in the ideal place on the front dashboard or back to get the most amount of sunlight. It also comes with some small suction cups for attaching directly on a window along with the instruction sheet and original box.
This was the first solar panel I ever bought and I bought it because I was very interested in renewable technologies and was particularly interested in solar panels. I used it for a few times mainly to get in to solar panels and understand how they work and function and since then I have bought bigger solar panels! It is still in an excellent immaculate condition as it has only been used a just few times mainly to power small 12V fans and lights.
It has ALWAYS been in a smoke and pet FREE home!
Collection is from Limehouse DLR Station.
I have other items for sale too so check them out too!
