Eco Worktop is designed to clean and disinfect smaller workplaces and the home. The model lets you make one litre of powerful, eco-friendly, and safe multipurpose disinfectant cleaner that kills more than 99.99% of germs using just water, salt, and electricity.
It’s powerful, eco-friendly, and safe, and replaces most chemical cleaners and the single-use plastic bottles they are supplied in.
The kit includes the 1L jug, activation base, measuring spoon, stirring rod, atomiser spray bottle, some salt to get you started, and a 1-year guarantee.



How it works

+ anode: hydrogen & oxygen in the water react
with the chlorine in the salt to make hypochlorous
acid (HOCl).
• - cathode: sodium & chlorine in the salt combines
with the oxygen in the water to make sodium
hypochlorite (NaOCL).
• Produces a safe & effective disinfectant cleaner,
from just water & salt at a gentle pH.

Activation
The water and salt solution is electrolysed by applying a small electrical current – it’s a process called electrochemical activation.
Chemistry
This recombines the naturally occurring elements into a powerful, effective, and safe disinfectant cleaner at a mild pH.

How to make it.
Eco Worktop makes 1L of disinfectant cleaner. Simply add 3g of table salt, fill with tap water, then activate, which takes five minutes.

Shelf life
After around a week, the solution reverts back to slightly salty water. You simply make more!


What can I use it for?
Clean and disinfect any surface, including kitchens, bathrooms, fabrics and glass.
You can use it as a deodoriser as it kills the germs that create the odour.
Use as a hand sanitiser as you would any alcohol gel.
Sterilise children’s toys and clothes safely.
Spray fresh fruit and vegetables to remove dirt and pesticides, but remember to rinse in fresh water before eating.
