Description

Marshall DSL40 pure valve guitar combo amp to clear.
This is an incredible amp
worth more than its weight in gold! It might only say it’s a 40 watt output
but, remember this is a valve amp and will sound better and out perform a
standard 100 watt solid state amp. This will go from pristine cleans right
up to soaring high gain for modern metal either for lead work or that
intense rhythm. It has three stages, clean, crunch and OD 1 and 2 for that
heavier overdrive. Its ideal for any genre of music from pop to rock and
blues to metal! This also has a digital reverb so it’s a lovely warm sound
without that old spring reverb sound. There is one minor issue with it which is that there is a slight loose connection I think on the effects loop switch on the back. It seems to drop in and out of volume when you turn it on. When it is switched off, it works perfectly so in truth, I don’t think it is a serious issue at all and of course, if you do not require the use of the effects loop, it is a fantastic amp. All you ever would want to use it would be if you wanted to run an effect directly through the pre amp section instead of plugging directly into the front of the amp. This issue only relates to the effects loop, there is no issue turning the amp on or off. It should though be noted that, as with any other valve amp, you need to turn it on for about 20 seconds to allow for the valves to warm up. Then you can turn its main power on.
The one thing to remember here is that we are talking a 100% total valve amp. Anyone who knows anything about valve amps will know that even a 1 or 5 watt valve amp is incredibly loud. This is 40 watts and trust me, you would easily be able to gig in a fairly large hall with this and it would certainly be perfect for home or studio use. It does have a power reduction switch on the back to drop the power down if you want it quieter. Additionally however, there are various speaker outlets on the rear so you can add in any of the larger Marshall speaker cabs. Depending on what you might need or where you are playing. The DSL40C has a number of channels on it so you can take your playing from pristine clean through a light crunch into a heavier crunch and then into Overdrive 1 and then 2 taking you right up to a modern metal saturated high gain. Of course, with it being valve, the audio is beautifully warm and captures all those Marshall world renowned classic rock, blues and metal tones.
The Marshall DSL 40c 40 W Dual Channel Electric Guitar Amplifier is a versatile combo amplifier suitable for electric guitar performance and practice sessions.
With two channels and 40W of power, this amplifier is perfect for performance venues. Its vacuum tube technology delivers quality sound, while the 8 ohm
impedance ensures compatibility with a variety of speakers. As part of the Marshall DSL40C product line, this amplifier is designed to provide excellent
sound quality and performance for guitarists looking for a reliable and durable amplifier for their musical needs.
Featuring controls for each channel, volume, EQ etc. you can tailor your sound exactly the way you want it. It also features additional tone shaping with presence and variable gain stages. Completing the array of features is its digital reverb, gone are the days of the old marshall spring reverb!
Also remember this is the world renowned Marshall, Virtually
every band has performed and toured using Marshall amplification at some
point in their careers. The sound is beautifully warm and full of richness.
Being valve, its quite a heavy amp but the great thing is that it will fit
perfectly into a small studio or bedroom for practice or enjoyment but, will
equally fit the bill for live playing in a club or venue. There is also
lots of scope for expansion with larger speaker cabs etc. It really is a fantastic amp and is a great
opportunity for anyone wanting to venture into that next level of playing
using a valve amp. Trust me, once you’ve heard what a warm sounding valve
amp is like, you’ll never go back to a solid state amp.
Was over 600 quid, and apart from the one issue mentioned earlier in the description, is in extremely good, little used condition. Asking £440, or open to sensible offers.
Available for collection or can be posted as required, collection preferred, as delivery would probably be at least a good 25 quid extra, owing to the value and weight of this item.
The reason there are no photos on the listing, is because I am totally blind, and find doing these extremely difficult, if not completely impossible, so please do not send messages specifically asking for these, item can however be viewed via video call, via messenger, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, and such.
