We are delighted to offer this classic vintage English made Greaves & Thomas extendable oval dining room table. Nice quality made table by a renowned maker. A very versatile table, solid teak wood frame, tapering solid teak wood legs & flame grain teak table top. Stylish brass work banding detail around table edge ring. The table is oval & then extends to allow seating for up to 8 people comfortably. The clever leaf slide & center flip sections all function well & tucks away under nicely ready for the next dinner party when needed. Greaves & Thomas furniture is synonymous with quality & design & this piece doesn't disappoint. A very usable piece of furniture for today’s modern life style. It would make for a great authentic addition to any mid century interior design scheme. Its style & design is typical of its period & would date nicely to the late 1950s early 1960s. This table comes direct from a recent estate sale & is sold in superb vintage condition. This table is vintage so has some minor age related surface scuffs & minor dinks. It’s been cleaned & polish, so ready to use, love & enjoy once more.

Overall a super table with plenty of mid century character!

Greaves & Thomas :

A London-based, high-end furniture maker founded in the early 1900s, known for pioneering lounge furniture and upholstery, and later, for its mid century modern pieces, particularly its sofa bed invention, the "Put-u-up". The company, based at the Amherst Works in Clapton, London, from 1911 to 1965, focused on refining designs to reflect current trends, incorporating Danish-influenced styles in the mid-20th century under designers like Walter Cornell. In 1967, Greaves & Thomas was acquired by Schreiber furniture.
